Food spilt on Taxi upholstery

The cheek of some people.
A passenger spilt some kinda Chinese sauce over my passenger seat last night. It wasn't too bad so I asked him to get a damp cloth to clean it off with. He seemed a bit disgruntled about this. He was the 'worse for wear' as they say.

He came out of his house with the damp cloth but insisted on cleaning it (or making it worse) himself. I said I would do it but he just got stubborn, turned on his heels and went back into the house. I advised his girlfriend to get him out or we could go down the other route-140 euros standard soiling charge of a Taxi. Common sense seemed to jump to the forefront then and she got some baby wipes which did the trick no problem.

It's a Girl Thing Sorry

Ok, here goes.
Left means right and right means left.
I am totally convinced there is something in the female brain that has a problem with R and L.
If instructed to turn left, I now gesture with my hand in a lefterly direction to confirm and I'm waiting for it...No No sorry, this way right I meant. You don't say. Sorry ladies but you know it's true. Ok to level it up, we men are useless at multi-tasking, I mean I had to put me cuppa tea down to write this.

Another hectic night at the taxi rank NOT

Ah, just finished for the night at 3.30am. Thank God for darts, thats what I say. A passenger told me that other than the dart players in the pub, there would only be 2 punters in there. 38 euros for me night- the wife will be pleased :). Hurry up Janurary, I hate you!

Waiting for the LULL

Any extra dosh made by taxi drivers over the festive period will have a good home filling the big holes in income over the next few months. Populations dwindle in smaller towns now as students go back to the cities- our loss their gain! Every cloud...., and all that.

Drive in the frost or not?

I was amazed how many taxi drivers would not work over Christmas due to the snow/ice. After all, we are professional drivers and we should know how to deal with adverse weather conditions.
Cops pulled me cause I overtook a driver in town who was doing 10 kmh, windows frozen over causing havoc to other drivers. Cop asked me if I knew why I got stopped and I replied No!. She told me why and she said I seemed a bit blase about it. (I wasn't reaching high enough on the grovelmeter I think). Grovelled a bit and that was the end of it.
